We are currently looking for editorial assistants and writers who would like to help with the various sections of Construction magazine.

Editorial Assistants—Features

Editorial Assistants in the Features section will be responsible for researching political and cultural content—essays, criticism, commentary—and reaching out to writers, bloggers and journalists via Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. (To see the types of articles we have published, click here and here.) This position is ideal for a journalism student and/or someone who follows current political and cultural writers and bloggers. Contributions to our blog, Additions, are encouraged.

Editorial AssistantsInterview

Interview Editorial Assistants are responsible for assisting with the process of conducting full-length interviews to be published in the magazine, and promoting our interviews via Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. (To see the types of interviews we have published, click here.) Specific responsibilities include research, transcription, and finding supplementary photos and videos to accompany the interview. Contributions to our blog, Additions, are encouraged.

Editorial Assistants—Art

Editorial Assistants in the Art section are responsible for helping research artists to be published in the magazine, and reaching out to artists via Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. (To see the types of art we have published, click here.) This position is ideal for an art student or for someone who is familiar with the art world. He or she must have basic knowledge of Photoshop. Contributions to our blog, Additions, are encouraged.

Editorial Assistants—Poetry/Fiction

Editorial Assistants in the Poetry/Fiction sections are responsible for reading and logging poetry/fiction submissions and researching poetry/fiction blogs and magazines. They will also have to attend 1-2 poetry/fiction readings per month, reaching out to poets and fiction writers, bloggers, and literary magazines via Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr, and helping with our newsletter. (To see the types of poems we have published, click here, for fiction, click here). This position is ideal for poetry/fiction students or persons who are well-versed in, and familiar with, poetry/fiction. Contributions to our blog, Additions, are encouraged.

Editorial Assistants—Social Media

We are looking for social media savvy individuals to help develop our online marketing strategy. Contributions to our blog, Additions, are encouraged.
